Entourage

Please open Entourage and follow the steps below.

When you see the word username, that should be your actual username.

For example, if your address is johndoe@whidbey.net, your username would be johndoe


1. Click the Tools menu and select Accounts...




2. Select your account, then click the Edit button




3. If the POP Server field contains mail.whidbey.com, change it to mail.whidbey.net

If it doesn't contain "whidbey" at all, this is not a Whidbey Telecom account.

4. Click the "Click here for advanced receiving options" button




5. Check the box next to "This POP service requires a secure connection (SSL)"

6. Click the small box in the left corner to close the "mini window".




7. If the SMTP Server field contains mail.whidbey.com, change it to mail.whidbey.net

8. Click the "Click here for advanced sending options" button




9. Check the box next to "SMTP service requires secure connection (SSL)".

10. Check the box next to "Override default SMTP Port:".

11. Change the port number from 25 to 587

12. Check the box next to "SMTP server requires authentication".

13. Click the small box in the left corner to close the "mini window".




14. Click OK at the bottom.

15. If you have other Whidbey Telecom accounts listed, repeat the steps for each account

Please remember to perform this change on any other computers you use.
