Netscape 4, 5 and 6
| Please open Netscape and follow the steps below. If the screenshots or steps don't match, you may have Netscape 7 or higher. When you see the word username, that should be your actual username.
For example, if your address is johndoe@whidbey.net, your username would be johndoe |
Warning: This is an older version of Netscape which does not fully support Secure Email.Please consider upgrading to Thunderbird (free):
1. Click the Edit menu and select Preferences...

2. Click the Mail Servers category.
3. If you see mail.whidbey.com in the Servers list, change it to mail.whidbey.net by clicking Edit.
4. Change the "Outgoing mail (SMTP) server" to: mail.whidbey.net
5. Ensure your username is typed into the "Outgoing mail server user name" field.
6. Under "Use Secure Socket Layer", check the box next to "Always"

7. Click the OK button.
8. The next time you send email, you'll be asked about a New Site Certificate.
9. Click the "Next" button, until you see the screen below.
10. Click the dot beside "Accept this certificate forever", then click "Next" until you reach the end.
