Selective Call Acceptance
| Think of Selective Call Acceptance as a “do not disturb” sign for your phone – only the callers you specify will get through. With this feature, you identify up to 15 callers from whom you’ll accept calls. Any calls placed from numbers not on your list will not go through. Instead, the callers will hear a message that calls are not presently being accepted.
Selective Call Acceptance will work for local numbers and for out-of-area numbers when calls are carried on suitably equipped networks. It will not work for calls from numbers which use call block or line block. Calls placed to you using operator assistance cannot be screened and will ring on your phone.

- To activate Selective Call Acceptance, pick up your handset and press *64 (1164 on a rotary).
- Follow the recorded instructions to set up or modify your list of up to 15 numbers from which you do want to accept calls.
- You can turn Selective Call Acceptance off by pressing *84 (1184 on a rotary phone); calls will then come through as usual. Reactivate Selective Call Acceptance by pressing *64; you will not need to reprogram the numbers.
