Where are you located?
Our service center, as well as our monitoring, is located in Langley on South Whidbey Island.
How large an area do you service?
We currently service to parts or all of Island, Snohomish, Skagit and Whatcom Counties.
What kind of services do you provide?
We provide a full array of security services, including installation, inspection, monitoring, and repair of electronic security alarm systems. We provide residential and commercial security and fire alarm systems, medical alerts, environment alerts and controls, camera systems, digital recording, and access controls.
How long have you been in business?
Established in 2000 (and formerly called American Alarm Systems, Inc.), we are one of the newest members of the Whidbey Telecom family. We offer the latest technologies with the reliability and resources of a well-established business leader.
What will a security system cost?
Typically, we install a custom-designed system specifically suited to each client’s particular security requirements as determined by a free security site survey. The system cost varies according to each customer’s needs and specifications. There are packaged systems available. Our basic monitoring starts at $20 per month.
Who will be monitoring my alarm?
We have an Underwriter’s Laboratory listed, 24-hour monitoring center. Our professionally trained dispatchers are always there to promptly respond to any of your alarm conditions.
Who will respond to my alarms?
Our 24-hour monitoring center will notify the appropriate response agency, which will then dispatch the local authorities to your home or business. Our staff will notify other pre-arranged contacts as well.
Do I need a separate phone line for monitoring?
No, a separate phone line is not necessary. In the event of an alarm, the system will seize your phone line for a few seconds to communicate with our 24-hour monitoring center.
How long will it take to install my system?
The amount of time depends on the size of the system. Generally, a residence or small business can be completed in a single day.
How will I be billed for monitoring?
You have the option of being billed monthly or annually. If you are a current Whidbey Telecom customer, your monitoring and other charges can be added to your monthly telephone bill.
