Whidbey Telecom has long history of protecting our customer’s privacy and your sensitive data. We have not and will not sell customer data, browsing history, or any private information to third-party companies or advertisers.
As you’ve probably heard, Congress has voted to undo specific internet privacy regulations put in place by the Federal Communications Commission. Under those regulations Internet Service Providers (ISPs) were required to gain your explicit permission to sell your personal data. With those rules removed, certain corporate ISPs interested in increasing their advertising presence, can use your private data – like web browsing history – to sell advertising.
We want our community to know that nothing has changed for Whidbey Telecom. Our promise regarding your customer data is very simple: it’s yours and it’s private. And it will remain that way.
